    Apparently you don't.....
    That's a good idea though.

Do your parents support your fencing?

My parents are indifferent. My aunts were against it at first. You know how it goes,"OMG, WEAPONS!?! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE WEAPONS IN THE HOUSE!!!". But since I got my own gear, and haven't broken anything, they've been alright with it.

    Do yours?

Well, right now we're in a huge battle about me having more time for fencing because I want to take it seriously, and they think that I'll never get good enough, but I know I will. Also, they have the strange idea that once I get good, they might let me drop stuff, but isn't it that you have to take more time before you can get good?

It definetly takes persistance, practice, and patience. Time as well. According to your profile, you've been fencing for 3 1/2 years, and have just taken up sabre. I'd say you still time to grow. I can say that for just about anyone, though. Myself included.

What are some things you have/will/would give up for fencing?

Yes, but there is also the ability to get as good as your current circumstances allow. Hmm... I didn't word that very well - did it make any sense?

Well, Monday and Thursday evenings and the odd weekend, for starters.

Uh, a lot of weight, sweating whilst climbing stairs, not being able to jog for a city block... for me, it's been more of what I've gained from fencing so far.

What else would I give up? Well, I would be perfectly happy to spend another evening a week or two Saturday afternoons a month fencing too. I'm not worried about ever becoming good at it, I just enjoy it an awful lot.

Oh yeah, and more money for more/better kit.

What about yourself, what would you give up for fencing?

Lots of time, violin and dance lessons.

Were you ever forced through lessons you hated?

Yes! I had to learn how to waltz for my sister's quincenera. That's kinda like the mexican version of a sweet sixteen, I guess. I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I could've danced with someone other then my sister.

Can you name one family tradition you could've done withouth?

Hmm... probably the insistence on going to Midnight Mass... why not a slightly earlier one where I don't embarass anyone by falling asleep in the pew...

Have you ever fallen asleep in an inappropriate place?

Yes...In my Spanish class. The teacher woke me up when she called my name to have me answer a question. My science teacher makes us watch these boring movies, once two kids fell asleep and were woken up by the bell.

    Are you stubborn?

When it comes to certain things, yea. Though generally, nah.

Fencing, which is slightly obvious, but other than that, somewhere that sells really good pastries or a bookstore.

Where in Los Angeles do you live?

Pretty close to Pasadena. It's convenient to school/work, and I can take the same bus to Glendale whenever I feel the need for a good white chocolate mocha.

Edit: No snow at all, though later on in the mountains, perhaps.

Ever think about moving out of state?

Ha! I don't think so, not down here in sunny Nevada.
I only remember it snowing two times here, and one was just some flakes blowing against a window, and then it was gone, which is a pretty sorry excuse for snow.

Were you ever snowed in at any time?

EDIT: No, because I don't have the funds.
    But not really.

Oh yeah, I've been snowed in quite a few times. Where I grew up, the drifts would sometimes get so high against the front of the house we couldn't open the door.

Have you ever gone skiing or snowshoeing?

No and no, though I've always wanted to try snowboarding. It looks like fun.
