| BC is a great place to visit. If you like sports, there's lots to do. Vancouver is also hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler (a few hours outside off Vancouver).
The largest city in the province is Vancouver. It is on the water, the coastal mountains craete a stunning backdrop. It's the type of place that you could go sailing, biking, skiing and then have a gourmet meal all in one day. Vancouver tourism
Victoria is the capital city. It is on Vancouver island. You would need to take a 2 hour ferry ride to get there. Seals, and bald eagles are commonly seen. Occasionally you will see killer whales as well. Victoria Tourism Link
The restaurants in both cities are fantastic. Victoria has a very British feel to it and one of my favourite cities. Both cities being on the southern coast of the province have very moderate tempertures all year round.
The rest of the province is filled with wildlife and wonderful sceanery. The Rocky Mountains are worth a vist, if you have more time to explore the province. They are a day's drive from Vancouver and closer to Calgary Alberta.
Does that help?

| They can be found at wreck beach, on our nickles and in various ponds and rivers outside of the cities.
Stanley Park would be a great place to visit... lots of squirrels.
Are you planning a visit or just curious?

Are you planning a visit or just curious? | I'd love to actually visit. Maybe after I get my licence I'll take a road trip. |

| Depends on where I'm going. By air - then airplane. By water, then boat.
Stanley Park? Isn't that dangerous when the Canucks lose?

| Except the "Southern Canadians". When the US becomes part of Canada will you help with teaching them how to play hockey?
You realize the invasion has already started... their new $10 bill has colour in it... next they'll have loonies jiggling in their pockets, and socialized medicine!

| I would certainly volunteer my time to teach what I know about hockey.
Have you played or watched lacrosse?

| I REALLY REALLY wanted to play lacrosse as a kid (I love(d) rough and tumble sports). I couldn't find a girl's team so played hockey instead.
What about you?

| I have, in gym class. I make a good goalie for any sport with a stick.
Wonder if that's why I like fencing so much? |

| Rainy (finally) and windy later on (about 100 kms/hour). I love the wind and rain, it always makes me want to go for walks. I'm a true Westcoaster.
What's the weather like there?
