Both, in a way. The actual athletic endevor is a great time, especially when winning or at least doing well. The 'necessary thing', which I take to mean 'evil', is the financial/logistical side of competing (travel, fees, etc); this can be a real hassle.

I thoroughly enjoy it! (Only some days are better than others.)

I'm not sure... it could certainly be butterflies, though. Any butterflies I do have seem to go away as soon as I start fencing. It's the getting there and starting that's the problem.

As for what I eat for breakfast- what breakfast? I certainly don't eat anything on competition days until it's all over. There have been days where I didn't eat anything until 7:30.

What do you eat for breakfast on normal days?

Nothing.

Sometimes two Tums if it's been a bad night.

I usually don't eat anything until around 1000.

Do you snack a lot?

Not a whole lot, although lately I have been having late-night snacks... as you've no doubt noticed.

Favorite shape of pasta?

Rotini for sure. It holds a lot of sauce, and actually feels very substantial when you're eating it.

What about your least favourite shape of pasta? Those wagon wheels?

Anything long and stringy- way too messy.

Farfalloni... Those small butterflies.

And what about the sauce on it? Carbonara or bolognese?

I like a good tomato sauce that's heavy on garlic and basil. A bit of cheese in it is good too.

Lemon tree, very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet
But the fruit of the poor lemon is a thing one cannot eat.
