| Coming up. Going to college in January and it should be great. Of course I said something similar about high school (I said, "it can't be as bad as the last 3 years of my life"). I was wrong then but it's college, it can't be bad? Can it?
Anyone have a bad college experience?

| Not yet; I'm in the same boat as you are.
What's your "boat's" name, metaphorically speaking? |

| H.M.S. Dan, I guess. What kind of question is that?
I just had an interview. Will I get the job? (you can refer to your crystal ball for this one )

| My crystal ball is clouded... this does not bode well for you.
I meant, where are you going to college? |

| Yeah, my brain must be clouded for me not to get that one. I'm going to Brandeis mid-year (still a little pissed about that)
You?

| I'm going to cry about all my friends having the time of their lives while I'm stuck at home . Seriously, though, I'll be fencing a lot and probably meet up with old friends at Hunter College.
Scared to ask... you?

| Wouldn't be the worst time . I could lead you through Spanish Harlem until you got too scared to stalk . That would be very fun.
Ever been to New York? If so, for what?
edit: HEY! 200! I forgot I hit 100!

| Sure, I've been to New York several times, for seeing plays, for visiting Girl Scout World Headquarters, for the Red Cross giving cards and gifts to the police shortly after 9/11. Next time I go, I want to visit my friend. I haven't seen her for nearly two years!
What's the longest time you've had a long-distance friendship? |

| My friend Aaron used to live upstate. I met him when I was 8. He moved to California when I was 14. I still talk to him (very rarely, though ).
You mentioned 9/11. I was five blocks away when it happened. Where were you?

| Sitting in Freshman Seminar class. Someone from another class poked their head in the room and told us to turn on the TV; we did. The news spread around the school very quickly, and no more than 15 minutes later, the principal makes an announcement about it so everyone knows, and after tower #2, we were told to shut the TV's off.
What's your favorite happy memory? (For a change of subject) |

| You know, for me, it wasn't that bad. Just surreal. Anyway, to answer your question, I wish I could say something about some girl, but not a lot of good memories there. I would have to say one of my happiest memories was when I was in eighth grade (get ready for a pretty long story...):
I went to a school called Park East Day School. It's not a yeshiva, but it's orthodox so we had to do the whole kipat (yarmulke) thing along with a uniform. My graduating class had 10 people. The dean, Rabbi Kamensky decided to invite the entire class to his house in Monsey, NY for a Shabbos gettaway. If you didn't know, Monsey is the most orthodox town in upstate New York. We all had to pack tefillin, and other Jewish stuff. On Friday night, we were all in Rabbi Kamensky's basement talking about guy stuff (oh, yeah, no girls in our class). Suddenly, I noticed that one of classmates, Alex Valensi, was in the corner upset about something (I didn't really care. Everyone hated him quite a bit). I found some oversized plastic dreydle and chucked it at him. What followed can only be described as a thunderstorm of Jewishness. We made teams and forts and had a helluva time. It ended at around 3 am when my friend got hit in the eye .
I just landed in nostalgialand. I'm going to bed. Anyone want to ask a question?

| Nah. That's a great story though. I went to Hebrew school on Sundays but didn't have any friends until 7th grade, which was a bit of a drag.
I'm off to bed as well. Who will take over? |
