    How long should the battery in a Belkin UPS last? Like I think mine is kaput after only maybe 4 years.

    I have no idea.

    Do you find that rechargeable batteries don't last as long (before losing their charge) as regular batteries?

    Well, they don't hold as large a charge, but the idea is that you can recharge them over and over as to compensate for their shorter per charge lifespan. Though after awhile, even that tends to wane.
