| 5 exactly. Counting hiking boots and sandals and not counting bedroom slippers.
And you? (ratio check...)

| Gosh... 2 pr fencing shoes, 1 pr runners, 1 pr. sandals, 1 pr hiking boots, 1 pr cycling shoes, 1 pr roller blades (do they count???) 1 pr rubber boots, 2 pr snow boots, 2 dress boots, 3 cowboy boots, 4 prs. high heals, 7 prs. low heels.... I think that's it.
Wow... I didn't think I had very many shoes, but that's 26 and I didn't count the old sandals, runners etc I use in the garden and for cutting the lawn and perhaps a few shoes I've forgotten about.
Do you know what the average is?

| Whoops! I somehow forgot fencing shoes.
Just found this: majority (63%) of men own 10 pairs of shoes or less with the average being 12 pairs of shoes. A large majority (82%) of women on the other hand, own 11 pairs of shoes or more with the average being 27 pairs of shoes. Two-in-five (19%) women confess to having more than 50 pairs of shoes, compared to only 4% of men.
(from a global research firm but who knows where these numbers actually come from)
Of course the corollary question is, how many pairs of pucker toe moccasins did the American Indians go through in a year in the pre-Columbian days?

| BrianH would know... but I'm guessing perhaps one or two a year?
If you got the chance to do any job (not considering other factors such as cost and time for education or talent/abilities, earning income etc...) what would you do?

| Hmmm...I think I would enjoy being an astronaut, seeing the world from that unique perspective. Floating around, fixing remote arms and thrusters, repairing broken panels, mooning earth.
Would you like to visit earth's moon some day?
ps I totally made up the statistic above.

| Brian! Here I thought my guess was a pretty good one after hearing from my favourite "expert"... bah!
Would I like to go to the moon... hmmm I'm not sure, but I'll like to send you there... to the moon Alice!
Similar question for the next poster... What would be your ideal job?

| Sword instructor to the president. Four words. "Training Accident" and "Plausible Deniability"
Seriously, though. I would love to be a teacher of that type. Fencing coach, or the like. Not necessarily to anyone of such a stature.
What is your alter ego like?

Not a word.
I am secure in my masculinity, thank you very much.
Should I take her to an Italian place, or Chinese?

What would you rather do:
read a book, or watch telivision?

| Read a book. I'm trying to find my copy of The Big Sleep, but since I can't, I'm watching the movie.
Have you ever lost someone for a long time to find 'em again later on?

| Yep.. couple of years ago stumbled into an old work friend I had not seen in 20 years. It was like no time at all had passed.
Is there any way to find friends you have lost for a long time?

| Because you were supposed to be keeping track of him this week. It's part of the "don't trust anyone over 40" initiative.... good thing I'm only 8, making me very trustworthy... Why does Nein keep rigging the "stalking job jar" so she keeps pulling out Inq's name?

| The gibbon is the curmudgeon's natural enemy. Theirs is an endless battle, like that of the mongoose and the viper.
As for nein and inq, one can only speculate.
Is living well the best revenge?

| Absolutely! Life's to short to spend energy on people you dislike.
What are your plans for the day?

| J-Pod, it's funny, quirky, has sex and drugs but little violence ... unfortunately CBC in it's wisdom decided to cancel it after one season. The book was even weirder... a good geek read. Here's a link if you want to watch some episodes. http://www.cbc.ca/jpod
Same question.
