Did you have any odd quirks when you were a kid?
Probably. I don't remember much past the Miocene, though.

Array Hmm... I had a dream where I could walk through walls once when I was a kid, so I dreamed I climbed down into a well (my parents live out in the country) and walked through the side of it to see if I could find dinosaur skeletons.

Array I was about 10, and got stuck in the backseat on the car with my five younger sisters for 11 hours on the drive to visit my great-grandparents. They lived in the mountains, so you had to drive for 45 minutes on horribly curving roads just to get to their house from the small hotel room where we were staying. I used to get carsick at the slightest opportunity, so the drives back and forth were horrible, and once we would get there Mom would make all of us (except for the baby) stay out side in the hot, bee-infested yard while they just talked. We stayed for a whole week and I was really happy to go back home, but on the drive back my sister threw up on me. I love my great-grandparents, but that trip was torture.

Array I hate my grandmother, first of all. She lives in Florida, and my family (my mom, dad (his mother we're visiting), and brother) went to visit her. My dad decided that so we wouldn't be hanging around doing nothing the whole time, we would take a trip to another town.... three hours away. We would drive up one morning and return the following afternoon. My dad was driving and my mom was in the front seat. I had one window in the back, my brother another. My grandmother was "seated" in between us. I say "seated" because she never wears a seat belt, and she's very short and has a tendency to stand up and talk to my dad. In order to stand up, however, she had to dig her elbows into my brother and me. She is very old (98) and no longer has any cushioning on her elbows, so they are VERY sharp, and hurt... a lot. Remeber, we're in Florida, and the sun is very hot and strong. I have a shoulder problem, and my shoulder really hurts when exposed to prolonged direct sunlight. So, three hours up in the morning, the sun was on my shoulder, and three hours back in the afternoon, the sun was on my shoulder. It hurt a lot. And I got a bit carsick, to the point where I was quite queasy the whole trip. So there was lots of pain involved, even besides the emotional pain of having to spend time with my grandmother.
Does my story top yours? -

Array why do all the trips that scar people for life all involve cars and grandmothers?
(just for the record i love my grandparents) I want to be remembered when I'm dead. I want books written about me. I want songs sung about me. And then, hundreds of years from now, I want episodes of my life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age.
