Array Inside one of those ocean floor volcano vents. Apparently, it gets pretty warm, and it wouldn't just be the heat, it'd be the humidity!

I had a map fetisch attack last month, on Valentines Day actually, and had a closer look at the US states (I admit to not being too familiar with those). I thought to myself "Poor souls who live here!" pointing my finger to a spot right in the middle of nowhere.
It was far, far off from the sea (The poor sods!) and ironically the name of the place was called --- Valentine.
So what's the place you would want the most to live (you may not chose your current location)? -

I'm really not all that well traveled - I haven't been off this particular continent yet. Hmm... I wouldn't mind British Columbia, ocean through one window, mountains and forests through another... I'd also entertained the thought of the UK or another European country with a good coastline... New Zealand is also high on my list. Hmm... I'll need to do some travelling before I can really answer that one well.

What computer do you have? (Boring question, soryy, but I'm in a bit of a rush off from work... ) -

Array The computer I'm currently using is a Dell Dimension 8250. P4 2.4GHz, 512MB of RAM, a whole bunch of hard drives, and an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card. I shelled out a whole pile of money for the video card, just so I could say I had the fastest desktop video card on the planet. Eighteen hours after I first turned on the computer, it was the second fastest desktop video card on the market.
Does what I need it to do.
I've got a bunch of other machines doing other random tasks, too.

Array To get rid of my allergies. I sneeze and cough at pollen, cats, dogs, wool, dust, little sisters Plus I have an auto-immune condition called vitiligo which causes depigmentation, i.e. white spots, and they have no cure for it. I'm one of the lucky ones though because my white spots slowly return to normal, so at least I’m not going to end up like Michael Jackson.

Array I don't think so. I've been creeped out by things and thought I saw something, but in the end was able to rationalize it. Who knows, maybe I have...

Array No, but my grandparents and great-grandparents were staying in an old cabin in the woods of North Carolina when they said they saw a ghost. For three nights in a row Grandma, Pa, Goggy, and Poppy swear they saw a blue light shining from under their door and the sound of shuffling feet. On the third night they decided to leave their door open but all they saw was a small, faintly glowing column of blue light. Needless to say they left early.
The next year they decided to visit again, but during that trip things kept disappearing, then reappearing in odd places, like on the top of the refrigerator. They nicknamed the 'ghost' Frankie, after Frankie Silver, the first woman to be hanged for killing her abusive husband, and whose old cabin used to be right down the road. My great-grandma got fed up one day and hollered "Frankie, get out of this house, hear? We don't want you here anymore so get!" Oddly enough, whatever it was never came back again. Later, when my family was comparing stories, my aunt said when they stayed in the house, her daughter April, who was a baby then, used to look over her shoulder, grin, say "baby." Her toys left in the floor at night used to play randomly. Weird.

Array Yep. Appendectomy. I actually quite enjoyed myself until the painkillers wore off... I'm not a big fan of hospital stays, though - I hate being sick or hurt.

Why do people in American film, when entering a house/flat, appear right in the LIVINGROOM! Don't you people have hallways like normal houses/flats..?! -

Why do people in American film, when entering a house/flat, appear right in the LIVINGROOM! Don't you people have hallways like normal houses/flats..?! Hmm... I think a lot of houses here are built that way. A lot of newer houses don't seem to have porches built onto them anymore - just a little wee alcove area and then right into the living room.
Where do people in films from other places end up when they enter a house/flat? Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth. -

So...if you enter a house in the livingroom, where do you take off your coats, jackets and shoes? Do you have to walk through the whole house - with dirty shoes - and take them off somewhere else?
(Two questions, I know. But this is a question that has bugged me my ENTIRE life. YOU can provide the answer to this riddle! ) -

Array If I'm lucky there's a coat rack right inside the door, maybe with a shoe rack underneath, or at the very least a pile of shoes. I'm usually told to leave my shoes on, however.
