Array Not so much anymore; it's 0918 by now. And you keep apologizing!
In other news, my roommate just brought me breakfast. Do you like bacon? -

Array Nah I am a vegetarian.
So, what's breakfast (besides from the bacon)? -

Array Vegetarian? Ach. Gotta have red meat.
Eggs, bacon, hashed browns, yogurt, and a bagel with cream cheese (which I'm about to start on). Don't really like bagels with cream cheese anymore, though; they taste like survival training - getting up early every morning for endless hours of briefings...
You have any foods you dislike based on taste-memories? -

Array No, not really... surprisingly enough.
Why do ya gotta have red meat? Its fatty and red and made of poor innocent animals. -

Array Red tastes good. It's a bit fatty, but mostly protein - and anyway, don't tell me you don't eat fattier things. And I don't go for the 'innocent' animal bit. 'Innocent' animals eat each other all over the world...why shouldn't we?
But we don't want to get into a debate about why omnivorous humans should be vegetarians here, now do we? -

Not often anyways Originally Posted by Soldier And I don't go for the 'innocent' animal bit. 'Innocent' animals eat each other all over the world...why shouldn't we? Because, in the wild the prey gets a fair chance to escape, run away etc etc. Its simply survival of the fittest. If you went out everyday, and caught your lunch with a spear or something, fine. But we humans evily breed the poor animals to eat them. They don't stand a chance. Its simply not fair. Plus, we have bred them to our needs. If you put them in the wild now (the wild that's left out there, that is), theyd be pretty useless, and that is all our fault. Array I suppose I'll just have to start hunting, then. Shouldn't be too hard; a herd of eight mule deer stopped for lunch about seventy feet outside my window yesterday. I could have practically taken them empty-handed. Besides, meat is best raw.
Now tell me, how many vegetables had to die for your stupid salad? I think I'll report you to PETVA. -

Array A couple, but as vegetables can't feel pain, I dont really care.
How did you know my salad was stupid? -

Array Any salad is stupid! Senseless slaughter of vegetables, for your gratification! How do you know they don't feel pain? Are you a vegetable yourself?
Did you enjoy it, Tazz? Did you? Did you feel good ripping that poor, defenseless cucumber from its vine? Did it make you feel powerful to hack it into pieces, for your enjoyment? Did it make you tingle to dismember that poor vegetable? Did you do it quickly, brutally, chopping it apart? Or did you do it slowly, meticulously, enjoying each time you took another slice off that poor cucumber?
You filthy vegetarians...you're all the same. -

Array No, I told you - I most enjoy red meat. And I couldn't trip over them; I'm not in my room.
So, I take it you like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I tend to prefer bell peppers myself... -

So tell me about this fetisch for 'Bell Peppers' of yours, are you bothered by it, are you sometimes ashamed of it? -

Array Not at all. I actually prefer them red; just not hot.

Array I suppose I have been lax in that respect.
Am I the only one who gets the feeling that this thread has become essentially a public IM? -
