A Valentine's Day card for everyone in your class - no matter how much you hated any one individual's guts.  The stores would sell packages of 30 mini Valentine Day cards for just this event. I hated doing it because I hated giving false indications (regardless of how superficial) of my feelings to the 28-or-so kids that I didn't really care about.
