| Not quite in the spirit..... Okay, I know this is not quite in the spirit, but atleast I'll relate to me. Do you ever get the feeling, a little bit before christmas morning, before you go crawl under the tree, before you fall asleep, that you are not going to get what you truly want, even though you've made your intentions clear about it, and its not unreasonably priced, that no matter what, they're not getting it for you, and thats that? That if you dont get this item, you're going to beat the hot tar out of whoever was fit to give gifts, because they didnt have the decency and compassion to get you what you wanted? I know I'm being selfish here, so darn what, if I dont get an electric guitar for christmas, which is the only thing I've asked for, I'm gonna have a break down. Not a little private break down, but a temper tantrum, and I'm going to ruin christmas for everyone on this godforsaken planet, because if I dont get that stratocaster, heads will roll. I know that my elders accuse me of living in a "me generation" mindset, but somedays, I dont care about the elders, or giving, or christ, or happiness, I care about getting a decent present, because beneath all the sentimental hearfelt value crap, it all comes down what you get, and whether or not you like it...... bastards. I'm done ranting now... can anyone relate, or am I just a selfish brat against the wind?

| i can't relate to you because i always got whati wanted for xmas when i was your age. you should have asked for an uhlmann epee BF maraging blade. hehehe. things could be worse. you could be like me spending xmas alone across the ocean thousands of miles from your family. its hard to be in the xmas spirit. i just want the day over with to be honest. |

| Eh, it's just an electric guitar. Don't know about you, but from whence I come, every person except me betwixt the ages of 14 and 18 plays the guitar. So it's, in a way, a good thing. It'll pronounce your individuality. |

| Not to mention what's the use of a guitar when you have no time to play due to spending all available time working on perfecting your mad, L337 fencing skills?

| Socks. You're getting socks. And underwear.
Actually, maybe the Xmas wishes of everyone ELSE in your household for the gift of not having to listen to you practice on an electric guitar swayed Santa against you.... |

| First of all calm down.
Try to have piece in your heart and then you will feel better. If you dont take the stratocaster now, you will take it another day. And one advice...You must always have in your mind the elders because they have more expirience than us and Christ because He is our God. Try it.

DFP: Don't break down if you don't get what you want. There may be a number of reasons to why your parents decided not to get you an electric guitar (if you don't get one).

| Sounds like someone got everything they wanted every year up to now, and now that this certain "person" thinks they won't, it appears they are just trying to be an attention grabbing ***.

I'd offer my two cents on the matter at hand, but it seems you already got the guitar. Good for you.
