    Types of lame

Ok, well I asked this question in another thread but it got burried and I think it deserves it's own home:
It was brought up that santelli and uhlmann/allstar lames use the same lame material, and I thought it would be interesting to use this thread as a collection of information as to which companies use which type of lame material.
So santelli, uhlmann and allstar are the same. I think the Leon Pauls look comparable to the pbt, but can anyone confirm?
And triplette, are they a different animal entirely?
Useful information in lame hunting Ithink.

I am not 100% sure but it seems to me that PBT/LP/TCA all use the same type of Inox lame, albeit in differant finishes, with differant linings, tailoring etc, but originating from the same company. I think that Cartel and Prieur use the same type of lame material as well and that what priuer uses, or at least used to use is the same as what France Lames used. Also, again just going by look and feel I think the "Ultralight" lames offered by LP and TCA originate at the same factory, although the LP one looks so much better (and is actually tailored instead of a stitched up cloth box) than the Olive Drab TCA one. StM, JL, Shanghia sports, Epee Co and Physical Chess all seem to use the same lame material for their Stainless lames from what I have been able to tell, just with differant linings.

If anyone knows any of the above to be untrue or not quite on target I would really love know as I have wondered about the seeming "oneness" of lames before. I guess there are just not that many companies making metalic fabric and even fewer that do it to an LP or Uhlmann standard. Good question Whtouche!
