Array Well, I'm a Nightwish fan, so I'll second that. Sorry Gav.
Aditionally, Enigma does some interesting stuff, with lyrics in English, Latin, and French, sometimes all three in one song. Hateful to me as the gates of Hades is that man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another. ~Homer

i can promise you haven't lived until you have heard mongolian hip hop, sung in a mixture of mongolian and russian. and do you know what, it is surprisingly good.. -
I can't find alot of it on the web, because the web is alot of American stuff. I have to say that Nighwish's music is good, but their videos are....funny. It's like they're trying just a little too hard to be goth.
Gav, I didn't know you were a hard rock person on the inside. -
Manau, as govsecrets said their yrics are pretty cool.
Mana, great band.
Manu Chao, weir at the beginning but once you get use to his music you'll love it.
I think I have a thing for groups that start with m a n. -
I'll give you some more.
Carlos Vives
Les Luthiers (I don't know if they count as a music group. They make funny stuff with original instruments instruments. The lyrics of their stuff is hilarious, if you know spanish that is.)
Cruks en Karnak

Soda Stereo

And the BEST MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME, ILL MITCH.
Actually he is horrible but hilarious. He is a Russian kid that now lives in America but doesn't have very good English. He raps about skate-boarding, Boxing, Punching stuff, and other stupid stuff. Check him out. http://www.illmitch.com -

Array Bérurier Noir.
French drum machine / circus punk.
(I liked them a lot when I was younger. Then again after 15-20 years they may no longer exist...) Einstürzende Neubauten.
German, and also an "oldie". May be described as "industrial" alternative/punk.
Not for the weak-hearted. (Try the album "Haus der Lüge" for starters as it's a bit lighter than the rest.) Similar Threads -
