You could also add: Don't be too quick to dismiss those who post positions different from yours--you might be looking at that finger....

Congratulations to Phoenix, who has gone green!

This is probably my main problem too. I learn the stuff in the lessons, I can do it all in club practices, but when it gets to be game time, I'm too afraid that it won't work when it counts. If I could get past that, I'd be a MUCH better fencer.

Sisyphus is on a distinguished road
If you can identify your biggest obstacle, you can throw your whole heart and intellectual capacity into conquering it. It might take weeks, it might take months, but if you can overcome your one greatest obstacle you will make drastic improvements in your overall level.

Unfortunately my heart and my head are my weaknesses. Sometimes I let my feelings and emotions get in the way. Other times my heart is not in the bout I am fencing in. But often times I think too much and let me head get in the way. I suppose these are things I shall be working on for as long as I am able to fence.

Fencing is after all 10% physical, 90% mental.

my biggest obstacle: i don't have a coach. i know i'd be so much better if i had regular coaching and practiced for myself, instead of coaching others.
