Array Rollbags in comparison Hello hello!
I could use some of your advice on which rollbag to buy. I've checked all of the vendors but their product description is mostly very unprecise so I can't really compare. I'm looking for a rollbag with two main compartments, one for my weapons, one for my uniform. Since our club is going to tour around Germany and other EU countries alot next year, a little space for clothes and toothbrush etc. wouldn't hurt at all. It should be rather cheap, not over EUR 130-140 if possible. Though I'm not looking for any particular brand, keep in mind that I live in Germany, so Allstar is very reasonably priced here whereas LP does not pay off due to shipping costs etc.
What about this bag? It's very cheap, only EUR 99,-, has two compartments. They don't say anything about size or anything. The vendor "fechten.com" usually sells PBT stuff, yet this seems to be their own product. https://www.shop.fechten.com/index.p...62&cp_tpl=main
I'd appreciate your help!

Array Thanks for the input, Tazz!
But which allstar bag are you referring to exactly? There's the Ecoline, the UNO, the DUO, the Ecoline DUO and the DUO Light.... -Should you find mistakes in my post...feel free to keep them.

Array Hiya,
When looking for a bag, make sure that its outside pockets are well away from the wheels. I have a Prieur rollbag - http://www.prieur-sports.com/prieur_...s/pix_gain.gif , ref:1260 - it's enormous, and comes on what the French call a 'chariot'. The bag is slightly longer than other rollbags because the handle which you pull it by is retractable. Although it was expensive, it has lasted well.
My bro' has an Allstar bag, which is similar to the Prieur model, and he seems pretty content with it. I used to have a Duellist one but it was badly designed so I wouldn't recommend them. And to be fair, LP do good quality bags that last well - I gave a my old one to a friend some time ago, it must be nearly 8 years old, and is still in top condition.
Happy shopping! -

I was referring to the Allstar 'DUO' Rollbag. I don't know much about the ecoline bags.
I see the Allstar Duo is quite expensive, so it might be cheaper to have a bag shipped afterall...I'm not too sure.
Oh, BTW, the PBT bag I have has terrible zipps. They always get stuck. -

Array My Uhlmann rollbag has served me well for many years - however it is about to be retired due to my FINALLY obtaining my custom made weapons bag which is a backpack.
The Ulhmann bags with the clip on top are great, as you can fit clothes in the top bit and all your fencing stuff in the bottom bit. The wheels dont like cobbles or other bumpy surfaces though. Also the wheels can work loose and you have to replace them and the split pins that hold them in. Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls! -

Array I own the BG FB015 bag which comes with a detachable top bag and two velcro straps. I've been using it for the last couple months and it works great. One thing though: can anyone tell me the protocol with that 'sleeve thing' inside the non-weapons compartment; how do you use it? Heaven is where the police are British, the chefs Italian, the mechanics are German, the lovers are French, and its all organized by the Swiss. Array For your situation, I'd recomend getting one of the PBT Pentathlon bags. Since its designed for pentathletes, who need to have room for fencing equipment AND equestrian equipment. I got one a couple of years ago, and I can fit in my coaching gear and bouting gear - thats two sabres, an epee and a foil, regular jacket, knickers, underarm protector, shoes, large bulky coach's jacket, sleeve and cuff, couple of gloves, plus a small toolkit and chord bag and a few other random odds and ends.
