Drippingwet, it is very unlikely (and that is putting it mildly) that we will EVER see seperate left/right handed events: the IOC will not give us enough medals for 12 weapons (i.e. individual and team 6W), can't see them giving us 24!!! Think it is more likely that fencing will die out altogether than that...

I said I need to diet! Your typical Foilist needs to be lightly wrapped in Foil and placed in the oven at gas mark 6 for 20 mins/lb. | |

Stick to turkey or goose for Christmas - foilists are too bitter and twisted at the moment to make a good dinner... 
Don't even THINK of a diet until after Christmas - too much good food around at the moment...
