Contact Cups

I need to re-wire a blade but the contact cup is not the right size for the barrel or spring. I have a cup that is the right size, but I cant take off the cup that came on the new wire b/c its on too tight and I dont want to break the wire.
If you know what to do please post.

You are describing a Foil wire. I hate to say it, but you have the wrong wire for the barrel. Even if you could get it off, which you can, the contact would not fit into the cup you have. Each brand has their own size. It is not like Epee.

What I use for removing the contact when making a new wire is a probe that you use for a Biology class.
