| The ability to control time at will. You would look invisible. Could travel quickly and if used correctly would be virtually undetected by others.
Bored, wham 300 years in the future. Feeling homesick? Wham return to the past.
Want to read a good book stop time cold in it's tracks.
Be kind of creepy though. You couldn't learn to play a piano with time stuck like that. Sounds would be broken into their discrete waves.
Of course, I could get a 2 hour a day workout in, read a couple novels, finish writing a couple books. All in the same day, or infinitely small period of time. Hope they have good regenerative therapy in the future.
Of course, I'm assuming that the time control is brought about by a field generation so that my cells decay at a somewhat normal rate and aren't "stuck" to the temporal period in which they currently reside.

With the ability to regenerate at the rate Wolverine does one would think that developing muscle should be pretty easy since your muscles would heal and strengthen at an accelerated rate as well.

| If you had the ability to control time, you wouldn't have to worry about money either. You could just pop into the future to see what next week's lottery numbers are or to see what's going to happen on the stock market & invest accordingly. |

EDIT: Not to mention that The Flash is one of the few men who is generally considered to stand a chance, or even beat, Superman in a fight (I think the list goes Captain Marvel, The Flash, Green Lantern, Batman, and one other...) Quote: |

| Definitely shapeshifting. It is by far the most practical power. If you want muscles, BOOM, you have muscles. Want to be invisible, BOOM, you're a fly on the wall. You could do anything, be anyone, be Brad Pitt and therefore as RL says, fork all the women you want. My power OWNZ! Boo Ya! |

(etc.) | As I see it, Superman is the equivalent of a "natural" athlete. He's never had to train to develop his physical abilities; he just shows up and wins.
Batman, in order to even come close to competing at that level, has had to devote every minute of his life to honing his meager gifts. He can't afford to rest or take a break. He's got to have contingency upon contingency in place (Kryptonite rings on hand, hi-tech developed, blueprints memorized, support staff trained, etc.).
I agree that the Batman-beats-Superman conceit is silly on its face. Just doesn't make sense, all things being equal. And that's why the comic book writers never make all things equal: the product would be ended three pages in. So Bats usually has a plan worked out, or Superman isn't up to par because he's got a cold or under psi influence or whatever. Is that a plotting "cheat" trick? I don't think so, because it reflects their inherent natures -- Batman preps; Superman doesn't.
Regardless, though, Batman's victory is always more satisfying. Batman IS the common guy who has to keep working his @$$ off. He's you and me. ... If they were fencers, I'd be cheering for Batman every step of the way. |

I forget who it was (some woman) asked what it was for and he smiled and replied "Just in Case".

Try to read that book of yours, you'll break it - by turning the page in no time, you're moving it infinitely fast. |

That's why I'm hoping for a "field effect". Otherwise, I would have to acquire clothing sources anytime that I shifted.

If you could just make time around you change but couldn't make yourself younger or older you would actually live a shorter life relative to those around you. You might have experienced 75 years of life, while those around you have only experienced 70. The numbers would of course change based on how much time you spent outside the normal flow of time.

| Or you could like be a shapeshifter, and change into something that change the innate laws of physics, like a black hole, or a cosmic string. |
