| Poetry Ok let's let our writers showcase some of their poetry. Il start, this was written in 1995. Roses Cry She is there all alone,
A rose in her splendor,
Not mine to own;
Only to honor.
Braving the torrent,
Pelted by rain,
She is not bent,
Though she still feels the pain.
On her sanguine petals
There lies a single tear,
Then in the rain it falls;
But no one will hear.
To the ground the tear falls;
A silent plea.
I hear her voiceless calls:
I come to THEE...
... He comes to me,
Though no words have been spoken,
Across an endless sea -
A love unbroken.

| Wow, good poem. I really like it...especially the elaborate word usage. "sanguine" etc. Maybe it's always because I have been drawn to elaborate words...but...either way, I like it. Thanks for sharing.
As for me...I write. A lot. I write all types of things...poetry, monologues, short stories...even attempted a novel here and there. I am primarily a fantasy writer though, so I decided to share a short piece that resides in the fantasy world. Not really a monologue, not a short story...just a short piece, which could be expanded into a short story, but I kind of like it the way it is. Anyway, here it is. I hope you enjoy. It's called "Hunger".
Edit: And now that you guys have read it...down it goes, for fear that it will be stolen.

| The Mother I recently wrote a dark poem called "The Mother". I hope you like it ^_^. The Mother
The Mother is screaming. She cries out.
She bleeds fire, ash, and blood. Her heart tears apart.
Will this pain cease? Will the wound heal?
Her tears turn into anger. She lashes out.
Will Her children avenge Her?
Or will they turn from the one who gave them life?
The light is clouded, all is dark. She doesn’t know the way.
She walks down the Great Hall, surrounded by friends, but blind.
She can not see, it is so dark.
People are hitting her, more pain enters Her heart.
Where are her allies? Why do they turn their backs to Her?
She stays strong, but feels the strength leaving Her.
Her foundation is giving, Her children are leaving.
Who will help Her? Who will guide Her through the valley of darkness and despair?
The Earth screams Her pain, wounded by the ever growing Evil.
Will the light ever come back?
They are coming; slowly, secret, They are coming.
Can They save us? Is their will strong and loyal?
Loving and accepting?
Can they banish the Evil from the mind and heart of the Mother?
Her soul was so innocent, now it screams for Her children She has lost.
Even Chronos does not know the future.
God save the Mother. Copyright y'all. Don't touch!

| Nah, especially since it's on the web. Anyone with half a brain can search for it now and find it. And Kismet, after posting that you're just going to have to RP with us. There's no two ways about it. |

| agh! They can't find it unles they know the name of your poem. What I meant was, if someone tried to steal Mormegil's AMAZING poem, then anyone who read it could make sure that it wasn't stolen by searching it on the web. |

| corny.. hahahahaaha... oh.
I don't want anyone to be offended by this, so SOLDIER bear with me here.
We won’t lay down with our head in our hands
The presidential Lie is a-calling once again
Nothing can change us, no nothing can falter
Tear our trust between this war and another
No --- More --- War
No --- More --- War
We don’t like the Suffering, no we don’t like oppression
One more little lie and it’s a fucked up nation
There’s seven years of fighting still there on the ground
Another seven coming ‘till our boys come back to town
No --- More --- War
No --- More --- War
[Chorus]
Though there’s hell to pay
Like hell we’ll go!
We’ll keep on fighting
Out here on our own!
There’s nothing to change us
No nothing to conform
There’s not a chance hell that
You’ll take away our home!
Though there’s hell to pay
Like hell we’ll go!
We’ll keep on fighting
Out here on our own!
Fourteen years of service
Don’t look good to me
A thousand more dead bodies
Is the price to be free
