why is ther cotton candy on the wall?
and why is it clear?
there are magazines all over the flor
but they have no pages
a sage I may not be....
but this world seems so strange
what kind of madness is this?
my life is on its side

I had to do a poetry project thingy for school so I decided to start this up again for fun, im sure youve all written tons since the last time this thread or a similar one was active.

This one im not completely happy with yet... but anyway, here goes:

...

a shadow in a pitch black box,
a stir not meant to be,
something wakes among the rocks,
with a desire to be free

he scratches away the coffin walls,
looks up towards dim light,
through the soil, slowly he crawls
filled with blackened spite

he finally breaks through the ground,
into the cold night's air,
he shakes his head and stares astound
as he sees the earth around him tear

where he looks, and all around,
more like him appear,
he sniffs the air, and like a hound,
fills with instinctive fear

his fear doesn't last that very long,
as excitement takes a hold,
he sings a fierce and mournful song,
of how he died he told

each of the zombies reply in turn
and each one tells their story
one cried when he told he had to burn
but all are sad and gory

among them all they share one desire,
revenge is on their mind
and so they form a screetchy choir,
and leave their graves behind

they march in the bright moonlight,
not far they see their town,
now they prepare to kill and fight,
the children they can drown

when they reach the town's large gates,
they go their seperate ways,
each go off to make a visit
to the one he truly hates

the devil came again, lastnight
he held my throat so very tight
his fingers left a burn so deep
it woke me from my happy sleep

and after he had left my bed
his words still echoed in my head
?you dared giving your soul away,
now face the consequences that come your way
long ago we made a deal
now can you imagine how I feel
hearing that which would soon be mine
is no longer fixed and fine
your souls been ripped and torn to break
did you not realise whats at stake?
You better fix it - fix it well
or else my friend, well meet in hell.

so now im standing at your gate
wanting to change my approaching fate
for only you can patch my broken soul
only you can pull me out this deep black hole
