I am thankful to be involved in an activity that for me has been a lifesaver.

I am thankful for the friends and aquaintances that I have gained through it.

I am thankful to be home, finally, after 2 1/2 years of being away.

I am thankful for the opportunity to have served my country at a critical time in its history.

I am thankful for the love of the most wonderful person in the world and to be privaledged to be married to my best friend.

I am thankful for the gift of salvation and the renewal of all things through the celebration of the birth of the One that makes it possible.

Have a most blessed holiday, all.

    Family, Fencing, and my Fender.

I'm also thankful that I've been able to remain in contact with my best friend, even though he's moved 3,000 miles west.

    cheers all

    -and a happy new year

    Thankful for...

The opportunity to pick up fencing again, after a 13 year hiatus...

The opportunity to have picked up two other languages...

The miraculous preservation of my friends who survived a car wreck on the way to Haines.

There are others, but this is what came to mind first.

Inq, are you a sad, crotchety old lonely man? I mean, the only thing you're thankful for that's actually other people, is us, for crying out loud! No family? No friends? Just us, your books, music, sleeping, and money?

Do we need to send choirs of cheerful children caroling to your door, to cheer you up into real holiday spirit? Do we, Mr. Scrooge?
