USFCA vs. Coaches College (Really) / poll

A few other threads have included some nice discriptions of both US Certifications. Now for some quantitive input.

Epee, I have a feeling that this would be comparing apples with oranges.
The following post makes a very good analogy, it says:
"Another analogy (not a perfect one, though) would be to think of Coaches College as a law school, and the USFCA's certification system as the State Bar exam. "

I have not been through any of these programs myself, however from what I
can gather you need to have very good fencing and teaching
abilities before you can get certified from any one of these two
    organizations.

Love to know what experiences most of the voters have with either of the certifications, much less with both, in order to make such a judgement.

I really can't vote on these options because I think the reason one wants to get certified is instrumental in deciding what path they'll take. I've yet to see anyone get in a p!ssing contest over which program made a coach more qualified.

A big deciding factor is availability. Here in the NE going out to Colorado for a week is a big investment. I know a few coaches who have, and they seem to have gotten a lot out of it. I also know coaches that have gone the USFCA route too and seem to have come out of that program just as current and well informed.

So trying to say one is superior or inferior is confusling as it seems to not have a whole lot of bearing on who's going to do better at coaching in the end. A coaches qualities are more important that his/her qualifications.

    As usual...
This poll is invalid/unbalanced/unfair. Something is missing, or it's misstated, or otherwise totally screwed up. The choices are oversimplified. We live in a complex world.
