Christian Fencers Association?!?!
What the hell?? Is the USFA against their religion?? -
And they take their motto "There can be only one" from a movie about a race of immortals who run around cutting off each other's heads for supernatural powers...

And what on earth gave the impression that the USFA is against their religion? Freedom of speech makes it easier to spot the idiots. -
Agreed, I just find the subject matter of the chosen movie ironic, being old enough to remember the movie being called satanic by a number of churches.

Seriously, well over 50% of fencers probably are Christian. What's the motive for forming a group? -

It designates the orientation of the club, not of the participants. Probably has organized prayer before and after practice, at meets, etc. Not that unusual. Nothing is more frightening than ignorance in action. -
I'm curious also -- are these folks associated with the YMCA or YWCA? You know, the Young Men's/ Women's Christian Association... I know of at last one fencing club that meets at a YMCA.
Don't hang up about the name --
Heck, I work with a Boy Scout troop that is sponsored by a local Catholic Church. Last time I looked, the troop had Catholic, Protestant, Muslim and Buddhist members. Similar Threads -
