I know, it's weird. This kind of reminds me of the situation with Metropolis Fencing in New York about a year ago, when they suddenly closed their doors to the surprise of many fencers, and the landlords had to let fencers in by key to retrieve stuff from their lockers. The Metropolis website said nothing on the matter, then vanished like Santellis and I don't know if any official word was ever stated by the owners.

What makes that situation a little different than Santelli was that a newspaper did a report on the circumstances surrounding the closing of Metropolis, citing the outstanding costs in rent versus the actual profit the business made. (A lot of fencing school owners/masters/etc have good intentions, but tend to make terrible businessmen...)

With Santelli, I suppose they want to keep quiet about things if they're planning to relocate operations or whatnot in order to reopen at a later date. Considering the circumstances, especially if the stories of unfulfilled orders (were they billed?) are true, I am very surprised Santelli don't issue some kind of statement on their website.
