Vniti non-FIE blades? Do they exist?

Hey all. I have a Vniti that is an older weapon, purchased from TCA originally I think, maybe in 98 or 99. It is a Vniti and it is identical in every way I can tell to my newer 02 vniti blade except that it does not have an FIE stamp. It just says Brunu, Vnit and some numbers I assume is the date.

It was my understanding that Vniti only made FIE blades. I was wondering if anyone who had been around fencing longer than myself may have heard of them making non-FIE blades, or if they just went through a period where they did not stamp them for some reason? Triplette says on their website that their Vniti blades are Maraging, but they don't actually say they are FIE. This tends to worry me a bit since TCA has had some rather questionable interpritations of what they sell as FIE on their website in the past and what they imply is FIE, so if anyone could offer any insights I would really appreciate it!

My guess? The blade may have been made of maraging steel, but at the time of manufacture, Vniti may not have submitted blades to the FIE for approval.

They make blades by a process of cold rolling. They have always in the past said it was not worth/possible?? for them to make blades from standard carbon steel.
