    Meddling Chirac

Deep joy, we Brits get a state visit from French Primeminister Jacques Chirac today. Lets be honest though, his reason for coming is to try and drive a wedge between Britain and America and convince us that we should abandon our greatest allies and go Euro. Chirac thinks that the main purpose of the EU is to oppose the U.S.A. Maybe someone should tell him that were not interested.

I wonder just how interested you really are... Inq said something in another post this morning about the world's opinion of our Bush. I gon't go along with what he posted, because I think that a large percentage of the world doesn't just disagree with Bush, they think he and his election by us, is a huge laughing matter.

It will be interesting to see the reports coming out of the UK after the visit and here the numbers that might consider Chirac's proposal.

    Excellent Ideas

Chirac today called for enlarging both the permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council to represent "new balances" in the world.

I wholeheartedly agree. Let's start by taking France off the Security Council. It has never belonged there. Going solely by population and relevance to the world, India and Japan belong there, but not France. I think France's spot should be converted to a European Union spot.
Freedom of speech makes it easier to spot the idiots.
