A major upgrade of the askFRED.net site has been completed, which includes many improvements and feature requests.
A short list of changes:
For general users- Credit card tournament fee payments
- Improved preregistration process
- Prevent others from preregistering you for tournaments (member account option)
- Tighter privacy policies: birthdate reduced to birthyear, email address hidden from all users (previously, tournament organizers could see email addresses)
- Foreign fencers can now add their country to the division list (to use it as per USFA rules)
For tournament organizers- Compatiblilty with Fencing Time version 1.4
- Improved prereg management
- Bulk preregistration
- Customizable "prereg pending" email notice frequency
- Prereg history available for download (includes all preregistrations, even if edited or cancelled. useful for enforcing late fees)
- Restrict prereg to a given section, division, or club, or to a certain # of entries
- Override default contact email address for a tournament
- Attach standard USFA waiver to prereg confirmation emails
- More options for rating change emails sent to USFA: Preview email (but not edit), add recipients (like a division officer or suchlike), CC the fencers who earned new ratings
- Lots more stuff i can't remember right now
Also,
for webmasters: FRED info served through your site via SOAP services.
