Roman Catholic, I come from a strong Catholic background and I attend church regularly (usually it's because my mother drags me there )

None of that has anything to do with atheism.

You split Christians into Protestant and Catholic, but you didn't divide Buddhism into Theravidin and Mahayana?

Why offer Protestant and Presbyterian? The latter is a subset of the former. A bigger split (in the U.S.) would be between Evangelical and non-Evangelical Protestants. Or maybe premillenialists and postmillenialists?

I figured people could figure out that I didn't believe in a god, based on the fact that i stated was an athiest.. but i guess i was wrong... My apologies...

I selected protestant, but I'm really nondenominational so I don't hold beliefs that are specifiaclly protestant, I hold beliefs that make the most sense to me after reading the bible.
"In offering to you, my countrymen, these counsels... But, if I may even flatter myself, that they may be productive of some partial benefit, some occasional good; that they may now and then recur to moderate the fury of party spirit, to warn against the mischiefs of foreign intrigue, to guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism; this hope will be a full recompense for the solicitude for your welfare, by which they have been dictated." - George Washington

You should have just put Christianity. Or an "Other" option, because I'm Lutheran. You could probably toss it in with one of the others but really if the other two have their own category, so should Lutheran and all the others, so "Christian" would have suited better.
