    Allegations of Voting Fraud

So, there are allegations of voting fraud aplenty. I'm sure this is a surprise to nobody. Do you feel that the allegations alone merit an investigation/recount?

    No.

The only plausible question is over irregularities in Florida/Ohio counties which use Optical Scanners. This is only tentatively shown using statistical methods based on not strong evidence (registered Dems vs. voting results). The magnitude of the irregularities is not enough to cause a change in the outcome. So both the probability and the severity of the allegations are low and the need for an investigation/recount negligable.

Everything else is tin hat material.

It's possible that the results might have been different. Not likely, but possible. Especially in Ohio with provisional ballots, and the relatively small margin of victory.

I don't think it's really an issue, the majority of the voters chose Bush. What does concern me is that after the 2000 debacle, you would think that things would have been cleaned up, so to speak. They should be. We can send a man into space, but we can't come up with an accurate voting process? Seems ridiculous, and it doesn't inspire voter confidence.

So for me, a recount? No.
    An investigation? Yes.
