But seriously, folks! If we have colored masks and uniforms, it'll drive the armourers at competitions crazy trying to devise inspection marks that are visible. Nothing like a blue stamp on a blue uniform, a red initial on a red mask. ( I think they'd have to put out a hit on you, HilanDoug! )
Anyway, I still think that those who are secure in their own individuality don't need to prove it at every opportunity by being deliberately "different". Milanoli for one may be a nice guy and all, and a great athlete, but one suspects that he has "issues"...

change is exciting and the best thing about change is that once change is allowed if it doesnt work you can always change back.
I say bah! in my best curmudgeonly fashion! There is bad change as well as good, unless you regard the changes in this country since Sept. 11th, for instance, as desirable---and how can we be sure THIS change will not be a bad one, as I believe, instead of a good one, as you believe? Nor is it in fact always possible to "change back" again...or haven't you noticed how fast prices go up, but how much like pulling teeth it is to get them to go back down? Once vested interests get their hooks in, well, undoing a change can be bloody difficult. ( Avaunt, O wicked Dye Cartels! ) Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -
