    Hmm....

Our club has been looking into getting new gloves, as our club equipment gloves are in pretty bad shape. If anyone has any experience with this place, let me know.

I was thinking about ordering from them, but they want around $35 for shipping, which is more than I'm willing to pay for my 10 glove order.

i got a price list and the prices seem quite affordable. i'm likely going to put in an order with 'em soon so i'll check back about them here when i do.

they also do screen printing of logos on gloves for like nothing

i just think that everyone had probably use some of these gloves, because here in Europe this company from Pakistan sell some gloves to a big german company who's probably the biggest seller of fencing stuff.
about the glove,i could just tell you that in pakistan they use a lot of chrome for the treatment of the leather, so with the time you could get some problem on the skin of your hand

sample glove from another pakistan supplier...

Just looked at their site and very similar to a supplier also in pakistan called khan (i think... a while ago - last year ... 2003 that is!!) and the site very similar..

I was looking at getting a bulk order so got a sample glove in (my size!!) it was grey and red and machine washable..

Unfortunately I am sort of getting out of fencing (long story...) so I didn't unfortunately get any more gloves (a pity that ..I would have liked to have got a few more )although the one I got is brilliant - feels good and long lasting.

it is Ok for foil epee or sabre and you get a good feel of the grip french or pistol and complete control as well as confort through the glove - just like the allstar red and grey butnot exactly the same of course!!!

I do believe it is machine washable and I have put mine through the wash once (by itself in case the colour ran!).

i note they sell a yellow one to which I think is the same as a local supplier in Melobourne sells (I am in south aust).

Just thinking about this post and it makes me look like I am connected with the company - I'm not....But any saving is good - mind you to make enough of a saving one has to order a bulk lot of gloves - maybe organise a large order and sell some at the large competitions - you never know it may be the start of something (mind you if everyone does it then no one will make any money to keep business going!! lol)

I bought a bunch of those when I first started out selling...they tending to be overlong inthe thumb, and the material's very heavy. They only cost me $5 per item (but I had to buy $500 worth to make it worthwhile), but I wouldn't buy them again. I still get these emails...straight into the trash.

I get 2 to 3 emails each week from some "leading glove manufacturer" in Pakistan. The similarity between emails, products, and pooly designed web sites makes me think that it's the same 2 guys spinning through different company names.

Either that, or every sales rep sets up their own "company".

now we are giving the manufacturer's ideas...

So now the manuf. (if they are smart enough!!) will read these posts and correct their errors....

    well... maybe .. maybe not....

Interesting what you say about the gloves being too long in the thumb - I will have to check mine....

    gloves galore...

These gloves are being sold by many vendors in the U.S. (Where did you think they were getting their gloves anyway?) There are leather and synthetic gloves, with a myriad of style/tech. variations-most of them from Pakistan. If you want to try them, Boris (Phys.Chs) is selling them on Ebay. I got a bunch, and a couple were long in the thumb, but the XS (my boys) and the S (me) fit perfect and feel great. Best of all-I got them for-yes, $1.50 ea. and since I bought several, I didn't get ripped off on the shipping either. This is fine for me as every 6 weeks or so these boys are growing another size. And quite frankly, they are 100x better than the gross gloves at the club.

    best,

    aisha

We ordered 4 gloves of different styles from Star Flex and they sent 2 extra for us to sample. They arrived within 1 week of ordering. All are a bit wide in the fingers, but the length seems to be okay. We didn't think they would work very well because of the extra width, but seem to be okay once we fenced with them. Maybe not an ideal glove for an elite fencer, but for the price, probably not a bad glove to have for the club.

I'd love to know if anyone has any other contacts for the Pakistani gloves.
