World cup and championships What are the differences between world cups and world championships and how often are they held? Thanks. -

Array World cups are the official competitions of the FIE and are held many times a year across all the continents at a junior (u/20) and senior level. These competitions provide ranking points.
The world championships are held once a year, every year, except if that particular weapon is being fenced at the Olympic Games, in which case the OG counts as the world championship. -
Do you have to go to either event under your country or can you just go there on your own? Thanks. -

Array you must be entered or selected by your federation for both World Cups and the World Championships.
Full 800N FIE kit and weapons are required for these events. -

Array Apparently, if you are Lucky enough to be born in Australia, it is not very difficult to fence in world cups for your country. And if you are not completly retarded, you might be able to achieve a brilliant result like, *gasp*, making it out of the first round! Repeat this spectacular result (esp at a junior level)and you will, deservedly, represent Australia at the junior world championships. With the guidence of the mystical British world class coaches and posession of the magic 'carbon fibre' french handle it might be possible to achieve the much coveted quest of beating 2 sh itty fencers from non-fencing nations before , inevitabally, getting your butt kicked by some kids with a bit of talent! Downunderfencer, in these testing next few months, I wish you all the sucess in achieving your mediocre potential. -

I dont think you can blame your lack of fencing talent on not being born in victoria- blame your parents for their gift of your ****t y genes and blame them for dropping you on your head for your lack of intelligence. You have only yourself to blame for ignoring all the evidence which strongly points to you being a complete retard. If you need any help in your self discovery don't hesitate to contact me -

Array let me get this straight overall:
you are abusing a 17 year old fencer, for only winning 3 fights in his poule, losing to the gold and bronze medallists, making the cut, and losing a d.e. to the world number 63, 11-15, in his first ever junior a grade?
You are a very sad person. Please leave me alone. -
