Array My favourite is going to a good Chinese restaurant after a competition... (good quality, lots of food and maybe washed down with a nice glass of chilled lager...). Italian isn't bad either. But couldn't face an Indian Restaurant after competing...
I love good steak, but seems a waste when I am so incredibly hungry and shattered.

Cracker Barrel? Stay away from the meatloaf. I can't tell you how much pain I was in. Say no to the meatloaf.
We drink and drink and more drinking and eat lots of meat after meets.

mc Bleah, the meatloaf from CB is bad. I like the country hams. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Array House of Pies. Eggs and chicken fried steak, then maybe some pie. The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon. -

Array It depends on where D+ good to meet you
When in Memphis it's got to be Bar-B-Q... The Bar-B-Q Shop on Madison ...
Different towns different food - something local. There's always Mexican esp in Big D.
Whats good in your neck of the woods?
My 2 cents

mc It probably WASN'T the meatloaf, the night of drinking in Princeton and then TRYING to drive back the next day with a hang-over was more like it. -

Array To put it nicely...
I've got two shelves and the crisper drawer in my fridged devoted to BEER. (Currently, it's Coronas filling the crisper drawer, a shelf of Guiness, and a shelf of Harlotfest Ale/Coors/Buds.
And the usual post-tourney feast usually involves either going out for a steak, grilling a burger at home (so rare it tries to eat my bun as I'm eating it) or... grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. (THE ULTIMATE HAPPY FOOD!) "The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is to parry, and riposte in return."

My club always hits an Olive Garden for the breadsticks and salad so we eat something immediately. And we can find one no matter where we compete. Usually no alcohol since the of-age in the group are also the drivers. -

Array Definately beer and what ever will stand still long enough to be caught and be eaten! -

Array We usually gather whoever's left, and find something good and close that serves alcohol. Usually a small local place. Depends on what city we're in... but we usually frequent the same places. -

Chiz Nothing really, we usually just stop at a cracker barrel on the way home. In town, theres a longhorns steak house, but we hardly ever have tournaments.
