| Hello Everyone
Been fencing for about five weeks and thought I'd look online and see what resources I could find and came across this message board.
Been really enjoying fencing so far. Mostly been doing foil, though I tried epee yesterday and think that it will end up being my primary weapon. |

| Hey there and welcome to the Board. Warning though...surfing of this is likely to develop into an addiction. AND you will find there is much useless drivel on here. Pardon my...now I must go and drivel...
Oh...and I'm pretty new too. Sabre looks like fun to me though...not only can you POKE folks with metal sticks, but you can WHACK them as well. What more could you want??? | |

| Foil fencers are the best looking though. I fence foil, and I get girls like nothing. And the girls who fence foil are the hottest. The epee girls are manly and the sabre girls are crazy. Don't go near them. No offense if you're a girl who fences epee or sabre.  | |

| I'm all about finesse too. Though I can see your point. I am currently fencing foil, but looking forward to starting at sabre. I'm still pretty new to it all though, so please discount my comments as neccessary. But still...all that whacking looks like fun. Although...without question the SOUND of epee is the best...those guards have fantastic resonance!!! | |

Wow, the foil girls certainly don't like you for your brains. Epeeists have the best taste in guys because they won't go near you. A lot of offense taken on that last post. Correction: Girls who are epeeists are not manly, you are just feminine.

| I have probably one to two weeks on you with regard to being new to fencing... and this past week I have some bruises to show for it (lol). About two weeks ago someone else came to the private class spot. He had fenced in high school (he is a total grown-up with kiddies, lol) and the instructor let us fence together with the electric hook-up thing... he kicked my *** and I had only one winning jab or so... however, this past week I decided that I was too proud to let that happen again. I fought back hard and the session was more equal. He was amused that I had done so much better within two weeks... I can't wait until Monday- I'm gonna kick his azz... lol. Is that unsportsman-llike?  | |
