Array It's amazing that I hadgot married and had kids at all, being as how when I was 14 I thought about fencing as much as I probably should have been thinking about sex! -
Ok, I'm so nuts, you know when the elevator door closes, and you're alone, waiting to get to your floor? Well, I'm in my on guard stance, and shadowing practicing parries with short advances and retreats.
I have dream fencing, and my legs and hands twitch, sometimes pretty violently.
While pacing the sidelines, watching my kids play soccer, sometimes I advance and retreat.
I vizualize prime riposte a lot, and imagine myself executing a well-timmed disengage fleche.
It's insanity.... JsPierre

I keep my sabres within reach of my bed. I think this year I am going to spend more on fencing equipment than on textbooks (this will likely be a one time thing. I only have to get readt to compete once, thankfully.) I have found my self evaluating the skill of actors in movies. I decided my German text book was useless because not only did it not have the words for "sabre," or "fencing," it doesn't even have the word for "sword!" What do people who don't fence think about? I'm definitly a fencer. Some people are like slinkys. They serve no useful purpose, but it sure feels good when you push them down the stairs.
