I hate polls!

Ok, my problem isn't with polls themselves, but the way they are bumped up to the top of the board whenever anyone votes on them. It's especially annoying when you use the New Posts menu option to bring up the newest posts, and half of them are polls that a couple of extra people have voted on.

Is there anyway to stop this? Ideally polls would only be pushed to the top when someone replies with a message to the thread.

If I'm the only one bothered by this, feel free to ignore me.

It's a time-waster, for sure. But I tend to just remember the name of the last poster to the thread. If that hasn't changed I don't check it. The proliferation of polls makes even that a chore from time to time, of course....

I think that one of the purposes of that function is to make sure that polls last, even if they don't generate a discussion, so the poll starter can actually get some information, even if the topic is not really debatable.
