    Acronyms, Terms, etc.

This will be a "working post" but since the terms have come up a few times and some initials have cross-pollinated, I figured this would be a valuable guide. Think of it as the equipment discussion style manual.

Post your suggestions to this thread and I'll incorporate them into this post.

    Hostin Plus.

It was one of the various lines of blades made by France Lame. Higher quality. I know my foil teammates when I was in college loved them for some reason (don't remember if it was how they handled, flexibility, longetivity, or some combination of the above factors).

JL -- Chinese Forge and equipment manufacturer
    S -- Santelli
    N -- Negrini

I'd recommend AFS for American Fencers Supply instead of AmFence

I know it's been suggested before, but I think post should contain pics of forgers "marks". It'd be great together with the brand names.

I have a blade (russian/ukrainian/other) that I don't know who manufactured. Someone on this forum (DHCJr?) would surely know but, alas, I don't have a camera to take a pic of it. It is, however, my fave blade out of my non-FIE ones.
    Fencing is my only PvP.

If we're voting, I'd side with AmFence, myself.

RP? Maybe PR, they are kind of overlapped. It's stamped on an OLD epee blade.

Do we typically abbreviate either Duellist or Cartel? This isn't a list of equipment manufacturers or vendors, it's a list of acronyms and terms. Given that, perhaps we should include on the thread FIE, USFA, BFA, BAF, USFCA, NCAA, NIWFA, IFA, etc.
