| Vancouver Restaurants Does anyone know of any recommended gourmet restaurants in Vancouver? French and Belgian cuisine would be preferable, but I'll take anything at this point.

| I liked The Mongolie Grill on Main street... it's not quite gourmet but it's the best I've ever had... and btw, why are you going to Vancouver?

But if you screw up your ingredients, you can ruin your own dinner. And you have no one to blame but yourself. |

It's Vancouver, there's gotta be at least ONE gourmet restaurant in the city. What are the major newpapers in Vancouver, they probabably have a restaurant guide I can view.
I'm going to this crap programming convention: http://www.oopsla.org/2004/ShowPage.do?id=Home
It's a good excuse to get away for a few days, and since I'm not payin' for it, all the better. Though, I'll probably run into a bunch of fat, balding, boring, poorly dressed single nerds with 200/200 vision and that oughta be good for few laughs. I'll get to see the latest fashion in pocket protector accessories!

As for FS, it got boring after I outed James Katsoff for being Jimmy Bob.

| I'd suggest Baci's Italian restaurant then. I forget where it is though, but it's great.

| It's not French or Belgian but if you find yourself in the mood for a steak, consider The Keg. I can't recall the street (it was a year and a half ago) but it was within walking distance of the Sheraton in downtown Vancouver (Hornby St.?). |
