| Unfortunately, third hand word of mouth (friend of friend of attendee from club kinda thing)...that's why it's so spotty...I think there were a bunch of American women there...just don't know how the rest did.
I was supposed to get an e-mail from Poland with more, but no word yet. Do you have a MS fencer attending?

MS action tomorrow. | Wow. Miss Ward seems to be skyrocketing through the ranks. Her parents must either be thrilled to death. Did Mariel beat her in the round of 4?

| Results from the Junior WC in Sosnowiec, Poland. Once again, the American women can be their own worst enemies at these events, knocking each other out.
Olympic Gold Medalist Zagunis takes out Thompson 15-9 in the round of eight, while Ward eliminates Olympian Emily Jacobson 15-9. Zagunis then eliminates Ward in the round of four. Earlier, Thompson knocks out fellow American Parker 15-14 in the round of 16.
Still, 6 of the top 9 for the USA women is a pretty good showing!
1 ZAGUNIS Mariel USA
2 WATOR Marta POL
3 BUDNA Karolina POL
3 WARD Rebecca C USA
5 SCHNEIDER Daria USA
6 JACOBSON Emily USA
7 KHOMOROVA Olena UKR
8 THOMPSON Caitlin USA
9 PARKER Sarah Jane USA
13 DAVIS Anika USA
15 WOZNIAK Dagmara USA
19 BARROSO Audrey USA
22 JELLISON Eva USA
27 BORRMANN Sarah USA
29 VLOKA Caroline N USA
33 PROVIDENZA Valerie USA
40 JACOBSON Jackie USA
56 KELTNER Mera USA
60 SCHUEPP Tiga USA
complete results, men and women with pools and tableau can be found by poking around blindly in Polish on the website: http://www.mat-fencing.com/

| Wow--what happened to Jon Berkowsky? Looked as if he must have had the flu or something.

| Very nice placement for Matt Kolasa, though! I hope the injury wasn't a big one for Berkowsky
