| I knew that. I was testing to see if you were paying attention. She's eighteen, of course. |

In any case, we know that Quart is at least twice as old as she is.
Says sabreur, being mean....

| Good thing she's not married, then, huh?
"Mr. Louweasel" is in fact her boyfriend, who just recently met her parents.
...
Scary, the things we know about her... |

| Thanks everyone for all your good wishes (and songs/poetry!).
For the record, let's set a couple of things straight.
Sabreur, in England you can legally buy and drink alcohol from the age of 18. (You can also buy it to drink with a meal in a restaurant from the age of sixteen, but a lot of people don't know this and it isn't a priviledge many take advantage of).
Mollusk, Soldier is right in saying I'm not married. I refer to my boyfriend of nearly 10 months as "Mr Louweasel" because it sounds nicer (imho) than "my boyfriend" and I don't care to use his name on a public board. Using "mr" for your boyfriend was a well-established convention on another board I used to post on.
Many have been very complimentary about my age. To own the truth (and as Jeff has met me I may as well tell you how old I am before he grasses me up!) I have now turned 27. Fortunately my weaselly fur hides the wrinkles!

Fortunately my weaselly fur hides the wrinkles! | A belated but no less sincere 'hippo birdie two ewe' from this direction, Madam Weasel! But I do note one other thing that needs to be set straight, if I may borrow a phrase: at 27, one does not have wrinkles. I know this because I'm older than that and I don't have any wrinkles. (And I don't care what the doc says, I do NOT need glasses! I don't know why he insists that I do...) |

Fortunately my weaselly fur hides the wrinkles! | Dear Louweasel, Jeff is far too polite (and has learned a tiny amount of manners, and would never divulge a lady's age. Certainly not one as charming as you. I hope your birthday was everything you wished it to be!
VorpalCat - I wanted to use ''hippo birdie two ewe", but thought it might be too obscure. I'm glad you used it.

| Interesting though that the best guess was five years younger than I actually am.
I must type in a young way - not sure if this is good or bad!

| I suppose so. But is it a let-down for people who think I'm a footloose, fancy-free studenty-type, to find out I'm nearer 30 than 20 (arg!), with a mortgage, a car, a pension plan and a responsible job in the civil service. I commute to the City, you know. Sometimes in a pinstripe suit.

| Hey, I march to meals, wear a uniform every day, and get called "sir", sometimes by people younger than me. I've started a retirement fund, and have four to five jobs, depending on how you count. And I haven't hit twenty yet.
Plus, as you pointed out, I don't even smile!
No worries for you, I think. |
