God said that the universe was formed in 7 days. Not 8, not 6, not a millenium and not an instant. 7 days. A deeply religious individual would take this as fact instead of metaphor. The problem with this characteristic is that a political leader needs to deal very firmly in the physical and the social. The social is not so tolerant of belief. A philosopher would question the definition of day when there was no sun to rise and set and listen to thoughts to the contrary.
Actually, if someone was really deeply religious, they would learn the hebrew and realize that day was construed as simply 'length of time' in most parts of the old testiment. Fascinating how those who feign devotion do little research to understand what they are devoted too.
How the Bush Family amassed their fortunes and rose to power.
Ooops, wrong thread.
But right answer.
You do realize that by making rather dubious accusations that you REALLY aren't helping your cause here. Facts are your friend, reason is your friend. Spewing propaganda isn't, and unless you are Rush Limbaugh or Michael Moore, it doesn't pay very well either. :-D "In offering to you, my countrymen, these counsels... But, if I may even flatter myself, that they may be productive of some partial benefit, some occasional good; that they may now and then recur to moderate the fury of party spirit, to warn against the mischiefs of foreign intrigue, to guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism; this hope will be a full recompense for the solicitude for your welfare, by which they have been dictated." - George Washington -

Over the four decades since then, the ever-reaching Bushes have emerged as the first U.S. political clan to thoroughly entangle themselves with Middle Eastern royal families and oil money. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0111-01.htm
The Republican National Committee has asked Bush-backing Roman Catholics to provide copies of their parish directories to help register Catholics to vote in the November election, a use of personal information not necessarily condoned by dioceses around the country. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politic...atholics_x.htm -

Additionally no other matrimonial ceremony can take place before or after the Catholic service. In other words, a Catholic may not participate in a dual ceremony if a Catholic ceremony is going to be performed. And yes, the Catholic partner in a mixed marriage is obliged, not only to remain steadfast in the faith, but also, as far as possible, to see to it that the children be baptized and brought up in that same faith and receive all the aids to eternal salvation that the Catholic Church provides.
Marriages between a Catholic and a non-baptized non-Catholic are not valid or recognized by the Church. Absolutely incorrect.
The Catholic church regards any marriage performed between members of any faiths as being "of God" and all are holy and valid.
The only exception is if a baptized Catholic person marries someone in a ceremony not performed or otherwise officially sanctioned by the Catholic church. In that case, because the Catholic person didn't abide by the rules of his own church, his marriage never really happened. That is the ONLY exception. All other marriages are recognized. Don't know where you got your info. Similar Threads -
