| on this site www.fencingsucks.com/ theres a song called "The fencers song" quite funny. That and the iron maiden songs are the only fencing related songs I know of, mind you my knowledge of songs isn't that grand.

| There's a song from 1982 called "Total Eclipse of the Heart" performed by Bonnie Tyler. The video featured a sorta haunted boys school and there were fencing scenes in the video. The clash of the blades you can hear in the song, foils as percussion instruments. |

| Hi!
From the Danish National anthem:
"Han svengende sin vaerge så fast, så att den gennem gotens hjelm och hjerne brast"
My translation:
"He Swung his epee (sword in general?) so hard, so that it through gothic helm and brain smashed."
Have a nice time!

Bruce Dickinson, the singer 1982-1993 and1999-present he had an English ranking, at Epeé I believe... somewhere between 5th and 7th...
He also founded and owns 'Duellist' Duellist Duellist USA
Oddly enough, he didn't have a hand in writing the Maiden song 'The Duellist'... it was written by Steve Harris, the bassist.
So that could be why they do... |

| "You'll die as you lived IN THE FLASH OF THE BLADES..."
Oh, and "sunlight, falling on your steel death in life is your ideal life is like a wheeel"
"il take you and your blade, break ya both in twoo, break ya both in two!"
LUDICROUS - 16 year old fencer obsessed with iron maiden - long before I got into fencing, I got into Maiden. Perhaps Bruce Dickinson is using subliminal messaging to make us fence? |

But the Trooper's related to fencing in that the light brigade are cavalry, and calvary use sabres... |
