The fencing post and Triplette (under their private label) have them, at least sometimes, as well as Allstar and Blade. I have not noticed any difference between the gold and the blue except that the one gold I tried was a bit more flexible than the two blues I have had. It has not broken on me yet, but neither have the blues. I use them as backups as I prefer Vniti foils, so they do not get a lot of use however. I have had the gold and one of the blues for about a year now, but they only get used a couple of times a month.

thanks for the reply. The reason im looking at gold bf's is that with the new timing changes for foil ive found it unnecessary to have flexible blade since flicks to the back dont land as much and im already a point fencer so ive been looking at stiffer blades. But i love the weight and feel of the bf blues i have so im trying to keep in the bf range. Im probably gonna go with BF whites but i wanted to know everyones oppinion on the gold ones.

    a few notes:
    - there is a difference between blue and gold and white, though i can't tell you where gold is in relation to the blue/white properties. i "know" but i don't have any official confirmation on my thoughts so i'd rather not spew and have it be wrong
    - i still would use a bf blue in foil, flicks or no. its a light, resilliant weapon and you can still do some flicking.
    - whites are also good
    - vast majority of people have no experience with gold since white and blue dominate the market
