Even if you think you aren't online all MS discs come equipped with nanobots that build a modem inside your comp. They then transmit logs of all your activities to MS headquarters in Seattle. Once there the logs are sorted through by the MS Supercomputer (which has a direct neural link with Mr Gates mind), and anything thought to be remotely piratical is flagged and set aside for future review. The review board goes over the instances of piracy and determine whether the offender should be fined, executed, or hired into their Secret Organization of Global Domination (The S-O-G-D).
