FENCERS NEEDED!

Fencers are needed for the Michigan Renaissance Festival every weekend (plus Labor Day) in Holly, Michigan. Fencers will do lecture/demos & run the "Bunny Fencing" booth. FREE admission & food coupons. Hours would be from approximately 9:30am to 7pm. This is a FUN time! We had a blast last year.

Full uniform w/knickers is required, along with weapons & comfortable shoes.

For more information, or to volunteer, please contact LDWalter1@aol.com

I'd be glad to if you could provide the transportation.

Seriously, though, wish I were there.

What is 'bunny fencing'? Would I have to smack a rabbit around with my epee?

Mike

I forgot to mention that the Festival starts THIS weekend, & folks are needed to fill the slots.

Bunny Fencing- Patrons will, under your strict supervision, face off two at a time in a fencing jacket & a mask with two balloons on it (the "bunny ears") & try to pop the balloons with the sabres you provide. It's a fun game, & the Festival patrons have a great time with it. I believe Dale will be available briefly to explain the rules to those running the booth.

I already told Doug to sign me up for the first weekend... I am planning on going at least every other weekend, if not every weekend.

To anyone from Michigan who has not been to RenFest yet: GO THERE!!!!!!

This place is awesome!!!

Moon, if you are not making it out there until Sept, you'll miss out on the Highland Games on the 25th... that's the best weekend of all!!!!

Btw, here is the website for the Festival...

Ahh...but the 25th is the 4th annual Duellist Open! The one tourney that I've said that I WILL fence at!

Is Frank doing the Highland games or will it just be the pro's out there?

My dilemma: MichRenFest, of show everyone how far I need to go with the epee?
