Array USFA membership I was just checking out my usfa card at home and I saw I was only a member for another month. I have not even been fencing for a year, and I am wondering if I will get something through the mail to renew my membership, or if I have to find it off-line. -

Array Check out your copies of American Fencing magazine it usually has the renewal forms on it.
You can also get the form online on the USFA web site. -

Array Take out a Life membership and stop having to worry about it. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array Well, I haven't seen my last issue of AF (I hope Mrs. Mergs is bringing it with when she visits in a week) and the form that is on line is for 2001-2002. Does any one have a .pdf version? Or perhaps someone could PM me and I'll give them a fax number. Thx, -

Array Ever since I tried to get an article printed in American Fencing, I haven't received the magazine yet. Another reason may be because I joined the USFA in March 2001 and my year's subscription is over. ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array D'art,
Your membership is good until 7/31/02 regardless of the fact that you joined in March '01. USFA gives you a few months freebie when you join after Feb or March (not sure which month) so as to simplify their billing/accounting. If you haven't gotten your AF, well, not to worry, lately I don't think they have been the most consistent about getting issues out, let alone updating mailing addresses. -

Array Okay, I knew that I had another month before I had to renew, I just thought that maybe American Fencing only ran for a year before you had to renew it.
You should remember the day that I joined the USFA. You and I had a friendly practice bout prior to the pools starting up that day. ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array You should receive a renewal notice in the mail. If not, go to www.usfencing.org, click on "Info for Members" then on "Forms". The latest membership form is for 2001-2002 season, so you'll need to wait until the end of July or August for the '02-'03 forms to get posted.

If you join before that date, your membership expires like any other one-year member's: the upcoming July 31.
That's for COMPLETE newbies. Folks who rejoin the USFA after some hiatus don't get that freebie. Similar Threads -
