Those to be Admired

We have all sorts of criticism here of politicians, etc. Stories of just how much the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

So.

Let us hear of the heroes around you - the people you see as outstanding examples of humanity.

To start:

Chaplain Major Phil Guin, USAFA

Works full-time, obviously. Has ten children. All adopted. He and his wife did not wait in lines for that perfectly healthy white American child that everyone wants; they went abroad, looking for children in some of the worst situations to adopt. Several of the children they adopted are handicapped in one way or another. Yet, they take the position of "always room for one more", and are raising these nine (one child passed away) kids (on a major's pay) with an incredible amount of love and care.

This is a man to be admired.
