Footwork/tempo ideas

Would be greatful for footwork/changing tempo ideas ideas e.g. gaining lunging distance from advance lunge distance without the opponent knowing before its too late. And also ideas for getting the opponent to attack etc.

Before you mention the tactical footwork articles on fencing.net, I've already seen them and was just looking for more ideas or a new way of thinking in relation to this area.

Thanks.

the ballestra (jump lunge) helps surprise an opponent with closing distance because the usual adv ret footwork isn't there. this helps gain lunging distance from advance lunge distance without their recognition pretty well.
