    Websites?

I'm pretty new to fencing, and I need to practice the several parries that exist in fencing, so I was wondering if there was a website that has a diagram showing the different kinds of parries so I can memorize when to do them and practice them... please let me know. Thnx

I'm not sure that such a website exists. Try asking your coach.
    The important parries are:

    4-across chest
    6-opposite of 4, protects shoulder
    7-sweep down and left
    8-sweep down and right

Search around fencing.net I remembered someone posted a JAVA or some sort of visual aid for parries in the 4 different lines. Click on a line and the 'fencer' would simulate a parry in that line.
"Man is how he behaves sword in hand."
"Fencers only recognize fencers, potential fencers and hopeless invalids."

Parries used the most depend on the weapon.

One of the best "train yourself" websites I have ever come across. He covers a lot of good stuff but you will still need to find a good coach and a club to practice with.
