Converting foil to épée bodycords

OK, weird question. Is it legal to convert two of my foil body cords into one épée bodycord? I was thinking about taking the two foil cords apart, keeping the ends that go to the reel, peeling one of the foil cords in half (to get a single wire), and then putting it all together.

Why not? But then again, why? There is a floor cord out there, which splits rather badly. The ends are also poor quality. They are not worth it to repair.

With the arangement you have discribe, it is legal, but it will be a hassle when you use it.

OK, thanks, I got it now. It was a last-minute-day-before-tournament "oh, CRAP, where's my other épée cord?" kinda thing.

But it turns out my brother had it ALLLLLLLLL along.

But thanks.
